Who we are
Jawib is a service that lets live streamers run interactive games and tools with their audience. Questions about this policy: [email protected].
Data we collect from streamers and hosts
Account data: your name, email address, and a hashed password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google). We also record the devices you sign in from so we can enforce your plan's device limit.
Platform connections: if you connect Twitch or Kick, we store the access tokens needed to read your chat, encrypted. You can disconnect at any time. For TikTok we store only the public handle you enter.
Billing: payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your card number; we keep the plan, billing dates and payment status.
Data about viewers
When viewers take part in a game on a stream, the game uses their public chat identity on that platform: their user ID and display name. During a game this stays in memory only.
For the weekly leaderboard we keep, for the current and recent weeks, only the platform, the viewer's platform user ID, their display name and their points. Nothing else about a viewer is stored. This data is deleted automatically after 60 days, and a viewer can ask us to remove it sooner at [email protected].
Party games
Players who join a party room give only a nickname. Rooms live in the server's memory and disappear when the room closes or the server restarts. A random identifier is kept in your browser so you can rejoin after a refresh; it is not shared with other players.
Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and browser storage for your language and theme preference and for rejoining a party room. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Partner logos
Some partner logos on our pages are loaded from the partner's own servers, which means the partner can see your IP address when the page loads.
Error monitoring
When something breaks on our site or servers we send a technical report to our error-monitoring service, Sentry (servers in the United States), so we can fix it. A report contains the error message, where in the code it happened, the browser and operating system, and your internal account ID when signed in. We do not send IP addresses, passwords, chat messages, form contents, cookies or URL parts that carry tokens, and we do not record sessions. Reports are deleted automatically after a short retention period.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, including your account and any leaderboard entry, by writing to [email protected]. You can delete your platform connections yourself from your dashboard.
